The Gulf Research Program
The Gulf Research Program (GRP) was created as part of the legal settlement following the Deepwater Horizon disaster in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. It funds research to inform decision making to better protect the environment, improve offshore energy safety, and enhance the resiliency of communities. GVI produced this overview video as part of a series showing the work GRP has supported. The GRP is part of the National Academy of Sciences.
