A step up for self-filmed video
We’ve edited our fair share of interviews and presentations recorded with Zoom over the last year, always wishing we had nicer video to work with. Lately, we’ve used an app called OpenReel that gives us higher quality images.
The OpenReel app lets a self-filmer use their iPhone to capture video in 4K or HD. As producers, we can see what their iPhone sees while it’s recording, adjust their camera settings, help them frame their shot, conduct an interview, and automatically upload their files.
It looks a lot better than Zoom. This video with Alison Cavanagh, our Senior Editor, shows the difference.
While filming with OpenReel is no substitute for sending a professional crew on location, it does cost less. It’s sure to make certain types of projects possible that were previously too expensive. Contact us for a demo or more info.
