GVI helps trade associations, corporations, and non-profits use video to connect with their audiences.

GVI was started as Girard Video, Inc. in 1983 by Jacques Girard, a former director/cameraman for the United Nations and the Canadian Broadcasting Company. In our early years, we focused on providing camera crews for news broadcasters and documentary producers before expanding into video post production. Outstanding camerawork and lighting have remained essential parts of our video production style even as technology, audience tastes, and viewing habits have changed.

In the early 1990s we began script-to-screen video production and we’ve worked on literally thousands of video productions since. Our video productions tell stories as they’re seen through the eyes of those we feature. We prefer to use their words over those of a narrator. There’s an art to conducting interviews and working with real people. GVI’s producers have the empathy and experience to get them to tell their stories genuinely, sharing what they know and how they feel.

At GVI, we’re big believers in customer service. We know our clients are busy people and that they hire us to accomplish specific goals while they move onto their other priorities.
